10!: Shockingly enough I used to be most afraid of butterflies when I was younger! (You can blame SpongeBob for that one). Nowadays I can't say I'm afraid of any bugs, but they can still spook me from time to time. I do remember being jumpscared a few times by cicadas and stridulating longhorn beetles-

15!: These brass paperweights! I plan on getting more Bug Merch in the future but this is the main thing I have

18!: I'm sure this is obvious from my entire blog but 100% wasps! Especially the most commonly over-hated family of wasps, Vespidae! Really I would die defending most bugs but you bet if I hear wasp hate you're gonna see the Wasp House curator coming in with the steel chair

2. Favorite arachnid

The peacock spider (Maratus volans) is probably my fave!! They just have such cool little capes, and I love watching the videos of them dancing. ;w;

16. A bug you would chose to represent yourself

I honestly have no idea! There's a lot of bugs I think are really cool, but I'm not sure which would would fit my personality best... I am fond of the white-lined sphinx moth (Hyles lineata), however!

(And additionally, when I was "assigned" a Pokesona in high school by a classmate, he picked Vivillon to represent me...)

Ooo! Well, I really like hanging out with my friends since I finally found a really awesome group of people that are really fun to spend time with, I love playing and producing music, although I haven't posted any of that on here yet, I like being on bugblr and being able to share cool animals with my friends, I like making art, and I'm getting a lot better at it, so maybe I'll post some of that soon too! I also really like how comfortable I've gotten with being myself, since I struggled with my self-image until pretty recently! Thank you for the ask! :D

27. What first attracted you to bugs as a study or hobby?

I've loved bugs for as long as I can remember... but I started actually studying them during the beginning of lock down. I saw someone raising beetles on instagram and it had never occurred to me before that one could do that! So I got really excited and wanted to get some for myself but I figured I should study first so that I could give them the best possible care. So, that's what I did and I haven't stopped learning!

45. An endangered bug you wish got more attention?

Probably the Palos Verdes Blue butterfly. I only found out about it recently, even though I live very close to the Palos Verdes peninsula. It's a type of blue butterfly that ONLY exists in that one small spot on the southern California coast. Apparently it's considered the words rarest butterfly but I've never heard anyone talk about it!

Hollow knight! I haven't actually played it but I've watched others play it and it looks like so much fun! Its on my "to be played" list for sure.

6!: I always love seeing Dasymutilla occidentalis, they're wonderfully beautiful creatures and defensively fascinating, with their multitude of defensive features on top of that rough sting of theirs!

14!: Hmm, what comes to mind are 'Metamorphosis' by Penny Parker or 'Scarabs' by Karnivool!

20!: Believe it or not, before I became a Wasp (and bugs in general) Enjoyer, the main animals I had an interest in were those in the family Mustelidae! Particularly weasels!

8!: There are more aquatic insects than you might think! At least 12 insect orders contain aquatic or semi-aquatic insects, this includes the more well known ones such as Hemiptera (water striders, giant water bugs), Coleoptera (diving beetles), Diptera (Flies such as mosquitoes), and Odonata, but also includes some species in Lepidoptera and Hymenoptera!

9!: One way or another, I ended up deciding to make some insect characters (the first one was supposed to be a bugsona but ended up becoming their own unrelated character), because I thought it'd be neat, and in doing so, having to look at reference up close, it made me curious! I was afraid of most bugs at the time to varying degrees, so I decided to face my fears head on by directly handling bugs! And the rest is history

2!: The arachnid I'm most fond of is the woodland giant wolf spider! I love when bugs are comparatively huge and that's one of the biggest arachnids around here apart from the big fishing spiders that I've only seen once

12!: I could say Humans-B-Gone! here easily but outside of my personal bias I'd say Hollow Knight! I've run through it about four times now counting two quick runs for the sake of steel soul and speedrun achievements
